Brown, ‘The Only Sustainable Edge’, este ex directivo de McKinsey autor de “Net Gain” y “Net Worth” apuesta por el software social como única vía de innovación para las empresas, que deberán trabajar conjuntamente con otras firmas para mantener sus ventajas competitivas.A su juicio, las herramientas informáticas desarrolladas hasta ahora buscaban automatizar procesos, lo que dejaba al margen todas esas excepciones a los procedimientos establecidos que se producen en el día a día y que son difíciles de gestionar. Hagel cree que el software social permite precisamente convertir esas situaciones anormales en algo productivo, mediante el aprendizaje y la innovación.Esta “gestión de las excepciones” consiste en la práctica en reunir rápidamente a las personas afectadas, proporcionarles las herramientas necesarias para que gestionen esa excepción y, sobre todo, almacenar lo que ha ocurrido para poderlo utilizar en el futuro. “Es una gran oportunidad para la tecnología. Vemos la emergencia de toda una serie de herramientas de software social para hacer frente a esta gestión de las excepciones”, opinan.

John Hagel or John Hagel III is an author and former McKinsey consultant who specializes in the intersection of business strategy and information technology. In 2007, Hagel, along with John Seely Brown and Lang Davison, founded the Deloitte Center for Edge Innovation.[1] Hagel is also involved with a number of other organizations, including the World Economic Forum, Innovation Exchange with John Seely Brown and Henry Chesbrough, the International Academy of Management, and the Aspen Institute. He is credited with inventing the term "infomediary" in his book, NetWorth.[2] with Marc Singer, published by the Harvard Business School Press in 1999.Contents[hide] |
